POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Provides professional nursing care for patients following established standards and practices, including triage (telephone and walk-in visits) and care needs between office visits. Demonstrates clinical leadership and oversight within the RN scope of practice.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The following functions may vary among RNs. Some may focus on specific responsibilities such as prior authorizations or indirect support for provider inboxes.

- Ability to cross-train and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Capable of performing calculations and understanding compliance standards.
- Handles confidential information appropriately.
- Willing to travel to other sites as needed.
- Completes required training within the introductory period.
- Prolonged keyboarding, phone work, and charting.
- Ability to lift over 50 lbs and assist with patient transfers.
- Visual and manual dexterity required for equipment operation.
- Good hearing and speaking skills for communication.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Graduate from an accredited RN program.
CREDENTIALS/LICENSURE: Valid RN license in Michigan, CPR certification.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years clinical experience preferred, but not required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (ABILITIES & SKILLS):

Work in a medical setting with exposure to patient care equipment, hazardous materials, and possible contagious diseases. Interaction with distressed or ill patients may be stressful and require prioritization skills.
