American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care/Surgical Step-Down Unit position requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active MI RN license.

• Work in a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical step down unit (2 East)
• Nurse to patient ratio of 4:1, sometimes 3:1
• Manage devices including chest tubes, arterial lines, PICC and other central lines, ostomies, trachs, NG tubes, wound vacs, and various drains
• Administer drips/IV infusions including Heparin, Insulin, Nitro, Amiodarone, and Cardizem
• Night shift schedule from 7:00pm-7:30am, every other weekend
• Epic EMR experience preferred

• Active MI RN license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification may be required depending on unit assignment
• Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience
• ICU background beneficial for this role

• Care for high-acuity surgical step-down patients requiring complex device and drip management
• Holiday coverage required for Thanksgiving and one additional winter holiday
• Local candidates accepted at local rates in eligible states including MI
• Radius rule of 60 miles applies for travel rate eligibility
