Registered Nurse School - Ypsilanti, MI

The role is centered in a welcoming elementary environment, where your professional care and clinical judgment will be essential to the success and wellbeing of every student you serve.

• Active RN license required (please be sure your application reflects your current licensure/certification)
• Demonstrated experience in school nursing with a passion for working with children at the elementary level
• Strong assessment, communication, and recordkeeping abilities in a school setting
• Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and educational staff
• Committed, compassionate approach to pediatric health
• Only RNs will be considered; this position does not accept LPNs

• Providing daily health services and managing both acute and chronic medical conditions for elementary-aged children
• Serving as a key resource and advocate for student health, wellness, and safety
• Supporting Individualized Health Plans and participating in IEP meetings when necessary
• Keeping meticulous and confidential health records in accordance with school policies and regulations
• Educating students and staff about healthy habits and preventive care
• Communicating with families regarding health concerns or needed interventions
• Responding quickly and thoughtfully to emergencies and unexpected health events
