Qualifications &

Experience:

• Current, active RN license in Michigan
• Previous experience as a school nurse or in pediatric nursing preferred
• Strong assessment, triage, and care coordination abilities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Proficient with health documentation and electronic record-keeping

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver urgent and routine care to students and staff in accordance with district protocols
• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions as needed
• Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions or specialized needs
• Conduct health screenings and participate in immunization compliance initiatives
• Serve as a health resource for staff, students, and families, offering guidance, education, and referrals
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records in compliance with state and federal requirements
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students’ health and educational outcomes
