American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring at least 1 year of experience and prior ICU or step-down background.

• High-acuity, fast-paced surgical step-down unit (2 East)
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1, sometimes 3:1
• Patients requiring chest tubes, arterial lines, PICC and other central lines, ostomies, trachs, NG tubes, wound vacs, and various drains
• Administers high-alert drips/IV infusions including Heparin, Insulin, Nitro, Amiodarone, and Cardizem
• Night shift schedule of 7:00 PM-7:30 AM on an every-other-weekend (EOW) rotation
• 13-week assignment
• Epic EMR experience preferred

• Active RN license (Michigan)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience
• ICU or surgical step-down background preferred due to high patient acuity

• Provide high-acuity nursing care on a surgical step-down unit with ICU-level device and medication management
• Required to work Thanksgiving and one additional winter holiday
• Local candidates accepted in Michigan at local rate
• Radius rule of 60 miles applies for travel rate eligibility
