We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Veterinarian to join our urgent care team. As a Veterinarian for Lifeline Urgent Care you will play a crucial role in our clinic's mission to deliver prompt and compassionate medical attention to pets in urgent situations. You will assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of medical conditions, from minor injuries to critical (non life threatening) emergencies, ensuring the highest standards of care and client communication.
With a mission to increase access to veterinary care, you as the veterinarian have more freedom to practice medicine the way you want with flexible payment options available to our pet parents.
We are looking to extend our hours with a veterinarian open to working a 3 day predominantly weekends schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIESProvide urgent and non- life threatening emergency veterinary medical care to a variety of companion animals.
Perform thorough physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations to determine the best treatment plans.
Administer treatments, medications, and surgical interventions as necessary.
Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis.
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with all legal and professional requirements.
Uphold clinic protocols and standards of care to ensure the safety and well-being of patients, clients, and staff.
QUALIFICATIONSDoctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Michigan.
Minimum 2 years of experience in emergency or urgent care veterinary medicine preferred.
Proficiency in performing urgent surgeries and procedures.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate bedside manner.
Ability to work efficiently and remain calm under pressure.
Commitment to continuing education and staying updated on advances in veterinary medicine.
