Designer, Retail Sales

This role has a minimum base pay from $15.24 per hour with higher starting pay available based on experience.

Purpose:
Floor & Decor Designers provide a seamless start-to-finish consultative design service that builds lasting relationships and brand loyalty with customers. Responsibilities include meeting with customers, listening to project needs, educating them on project requirements, and creating a design that incorporates their personal style, lifestyle, and budget.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

• Minimum of one (1) year of interior design or retail/sales experience
• Design degree is a plus
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus
• Proficient in basic math skills
• Self-motivated with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Internal candidates need 12 months of experience as a design consultant

Essential Functions:

• Greet customers and support design needs
• Schedule and develop clientele through networking and referrals
• Advise on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for residential and commercial projects
• Design and sell functional and appealing solutions
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy and communication
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation
• Support company initiatives and stay updated on design trends
• Utilize design applications like Salesforce, MyProject, etc.

Working Conditions:
Limited travel, exposure to warehouse environment, moderate to noisy noise levels.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to exert 20-50 pounds, handle objects, and perform physical tasks as needed.

Store Hours:
Mon-Fri 7AM-8PM, Sat 8AM-7PM, Sun 10AM-6PM.
