Overview
The City of Yuba City is recruiting for a Wastewater Treatment Facility Operator III
. This recruitment is continuous and will remain open until filled.
- Operate and maintain the Wastewater Treatment Facility collection system pump stations, storm stations, seepage station and perform other related work as required. May also operate and maintain satellite Wastewater Facilities. An Operator III provides lead direction to other workers but has no supervisory responsibilities. The Operator III is expected to be able to operate the facility independently on a shift and aid in the training of new and/or less experienced operators.
Education equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade is required.
Experience three (3) years of recent, full-time increasingly responsible work experience at a wastewater treatment facility performing the duties of the classification.
Licenses and/or Certifications
Required:
- Possession of a valid California driver’s license.
- Valid Grade I or higher CWEA Collection System Maintenance Certificate will be required for all positions in this series within 12 months from the time state or federal mandates require certification.
- Possession of a valid California Grade III or higher Wastewater Certificate issued by California State Water Resources Control Board at the time of appointment.
It is the incumbents' responsibility to maintain a valid California Wastewater Operators Certification and CWEA Collection System Maintenance Certification at required levels.
