Advanced Certified Medication Aide (PRN 8 Hour Shifts)

Base pay rate: $16.50/hr – $18.50/hr, based on skills and experience.

As the Advanced Certified Medication Aide, you will administer oral and topical medications to residents under physician orders, supervised by a licensed nurse, following state and federal regulations.

• Administer medication as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with any state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the “five rights” of medication administration.
• Record the administration of medications and/or treatments appropriately.
• Observe for and report any reactions and/or side effects of medications to a licensed nurse on the appropriate shift.
• Administer PRN medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.

• State certification as a Nurse Aide is required.
• State certification as an Advanced Medication Aide is required.
• State approved medication administration certification.
• Complete familiarity with duties of a certified nurse aide.
• Highly developed observation skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

6 am – 6 pm and 6 pm – 6 am (PRN).
