Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring an OK or compact RN license and ACLS certification.
Responsibilities- Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
- Serves a diverse patient population with cases ranging from simple to complex
- No floating or on-call requirements specified
- Local candidates are not accepted due to a 50 mile radius rule
- Provide competent nursing care to an assigned group of emergency patients
- Monitor patient responses to interventions and collaborate with physicians during minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
- Administer medications, initiate and monitor IV infusions and blood products
- Document patient progress and coordinate care plans with patients and their families
- Delegate appropriate tasks to support staff within the team
- Active OK RN or compact RN license required
- Minimum of one year of RN experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
- Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to respond to cultural and language needs
