Harper Construction is seeking an Assistant Quality Control Manager (QCM) for a BEQ project at MCAS Yuma in Yuma, Arizona. This family‑owned company, established in 1974, specializes in design‑build construction, offering unique military projects such as aircraft hangars, barracks, and headquarters buildings. • Manage quality functions including material management, documentation, and close‑out to ensure safe, efficient, and effective project execution.
• Direct inspections, document findings, and update records accurately and promptly.
• Read specifications and resources to determine requirements and planning procedures.
• Lead and manage quality processes for submittals, shop drawings, and as‑builts.
• Develop and implement project‑specific inspection and test plans and quality control plans.
• Perform the USACE three phases of control:
  Preparatory, Initial, and Follow‑Up.
• Support site safety to ensure projects comply with safety procedures.

• Graduate of a four‑year accredited college/university in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or Building Science.
• Minimum 8 years experience as Project Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Construction Manager on similar‑sized vertical construction contracts.
• At least 2 years experience as QC Manager in construction.
• Familiarity with EM 385‑1‑1 and experience in hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability.
• Current certificate for “Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors”.

• Experience in large ground‑up, military/federal/DOD vertical projects.
• Working knowledge of Procore document control system.

• Salary range: $115,000 – $125,000, based on candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
