We’re seeking certified SPECIAL EDUCATION (SPED), ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE GRADES, or SECONDARY EDUCATION TEACHERS to teach and motivate individuals working toward their high school diploma. • Teaches all subjects to students who have not completed full academic achievement, potentially through K-12; when required, provides Special Education services
• Appropriately implements teacher-designed lesson plans and exhibits collaboration between classroom and Special Education teachers for the benefit of students
• Accesses students' progress and develops an appropriate education plan
• Develops and corrects diagnostic tests, maintains educational records, and provides unit with monthly work evaluations
• Maintains records of student performance and uses them to guide instructional decisions
• Maintains the security of all testing instruments
• Consults with highly qualified teachers on subject matter concerns or questions
• Teaches various subjects and includes learning experiences appropriate for curriculum goals that are based on principles of effective instruction
• Creates and maintains a positive learning environment using effective classroom management techniques
• Escorts and supervises inmates in the education building/classroom
• Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborates with colleagues to achieve Department and Education Bureau goals
• Engages in professional development and maintains required certifications
• Continually adapts for improving instruction and student learning
• Drives on State business
• Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

• Laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures pertaining to the assignment
• Current instructional methodologies and counseling techniques
• Appropriate testing procedures and interpretation of specific tests

• Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university
• A current, valid Arizona Department of Education (ADE)…
