Job SummaryThe Patient Care Technician (PCT) is a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team that provides direct care to behavioral health patients working under the medical direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) in person or telephonic. The primary focus is direct patient care as directed by the RN, Lead PCT, Operation Supervisor, Operations Administrator, or Program Manager. The PCT is also responsible for the safety of the unit they are assigned to, including identifying environmental and patient‑specific safety concerns, and elevating them to the RN, RN Manager, Operations Supervisor, or designee as needed.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
- Maintain unit safety, identify environmental and patient‑specific safety concerns.
- Assist in delegated tasks as assigned by RN, Lead PCT, or program leadership.
- High school diploma or GED required;
Associate degree or higher preferred. - Minimum of 6 months of health‑care related experience that exposes to behavioral and medical crisis situations.
- Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental‑health disorders preferred.
