Responsibilities
  • Provide helpdesk support for Navy systems administration and installations support.
  • Answer calls on behalf of Navy's Strike Planning and Execution Systems.
  • Analyze and break down software functions, operations, and administrative tasks of various system components.
  • Interact with US government program office personnel, Navy and Marine Corps uniformed personnel, and contractors to obtain required information.
  • Participate in technical document validation/verification, in-process reviews, program reviews, technical exchanges, and team meetings.
  • Collect performance metrics for monthly reporting and documentation improvement.
  • Track and inventory government furnished equipment and materials.
  • Liaise between government Program Office and fleet users, providing onsite technical support.
  • Provide system-specific administration and maintenance training to users.
  • Assist aircrew with mission planning when using supported programs.
  • Compile source data inputs, establish training requirements, and review developed material.
  • Provide cross-platform training and guidance to less experienced team members.
  • Install and configure system-specific software on applicable assets.
  • Install, integrate, test and secure site-unique hardware and software applications approved by the government customer.
  • Create, maintain, and manage system administrator and user accounts for all mission assets.
  • Recommend technical solutions for system upgrades, replacements, and new solutions.
  • Support documentation for installation, testing, service transition, continuity of operations, and disaster response.
  • Coordinate with enterprise network, web, database, and information assurance engineers and administrators.
  • Administer, document, and report on system security posture per DoD guidance.
  • Prepare deployable equipment packages for remote operation and provide remote support to deployed personnel.
  • Support configuration management and change control policies.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
  • Certification in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience in DoD IT systems support, specifically NAVMPS/JMPS, is a substitute for a degree.
  • HDI Support Analyst Certification and ability to obtain DoD 8570.01m/8140 IATII certification within three months.
  • At least three (3) years of experience with DoD C4

    ISR systems administration and 24/7/365 help desk or onsite support.
  • Must obtain a DOD TOP SECRET (T5) / SCI clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required; must be able to obtain a U.S. Passport and pass U.S. Navy medical screening.
  • Physical requirements:

    able to lift 50 lbs alone and 100 lbs with assistance.
  • Desired:
    Linux Red Hat, Windows Server, Kubernetes certification; current DoD 8570.01m certification; prior JMPS use; USMC MOS 6694 (ALIMS) or equivalent; prior military service in IT, Intelligence, Cryptological, or Aviation support; prior system administration in Navy CANES/NMCI; experience with virtual machine planning systems.
  • Skills:

  • Technical:
    Windows Server 2016+, Linux Red Hat, Kubernetes, MS Office, Teams, Cisco/Net Gear switches, cross-domain and VM architectures.
