• Provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance.
• Learn about products using company tools and provide information to customers to help sell an entire project.
• Greet, qualify, recommend and close every customer in your department, and assist with basics in adjacent departments.
• Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas; ensure the area is clean, shop-able, and safe.
• Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and completing specified safety training; promptly correct hazards or report conditions to the Manager on Duty.
• Work in cooperation with the Department Supervisor, other department associates, and other departments.
• Note:
  
  Specific store departments may include Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing and Tool Rental.
• Position types may include Department Sales, Lead Generator, Pro Account Sales, Sales Specialist, Special Services, and Customer Order Specialist.
