The Role

As an Installation Technician, you’ll play a critical role in delivering exceptional service and reliable door solutions to our customers. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade a variety of sliding, swinging, and rotating doors while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform service and installation in accordance with manufacturers’ recommended installation procedures and specifications.
  • Document time spent and complete proper documentation detailing any problems, shortages and inefficiencies in job‑site conditions.
  • Perform all work in a safe manner for prevention of accidents to themselves, co‑workers, contractors on‑site and the general public and property of all concerned.
  • Wear and maintain any/all Personal Protection Equipment when necessary.
  • Perform planned maintenance, break‑fix repair, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues involving electro‑mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic.
  • Maintain professional communication with customers, end shrugged‑users, and contractors, providing exceptional service at every interaction.
  • Participate in training programs eyebrows maintain AAADM certification.
  • Operate power tools and perform physically demanding tasks (lifting up to 100 lbs., climbing ladders, Demi).
  • Participate in on‑call rotations after certification and training.
Required Qualifications
  • 3-5 years’ experience in direct industry, storefront door installation or relevant industry experience, including storefront, glazing, doors, aluminum frames, electrical, glass, automatic doors, hardware.
  • Mechanical aptitude with experience in repairing electro-mechanical devices.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage (120v) wiring (access control systems a plus).
  • Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware (preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • High commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and teamwork.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and use power tools effectively.
