Senior Project Manager

Overview
You will join a national team of professionals working on the delivery of infrastructure projects that support the energy transition. The team focuses on medium- and high-voltage systems, renewable energy integration, and grid expansion.

Projects range from  battery storage connections and solar parks to electrification of transport and grid reinforcement , all within a structured and regulated environment.

This role offers strong exposure to technically complex projects and the opportunity to play a key part in scaling sustainable energy infrastructure.

An established engineering and infrastructure organisation is seeking a  Senior Project Manager  to support the delivery of complex energy projects across the Netherlands (Dordrecht or Zaandam region). This role focuses on enabling the energy transition, including projects such as grid connections for battery storage and renewable energy assets.

Responsibilities

Manage multiple complex energy and infrastructure projects from development through to delivery

Maintain oversight of timelines, budgets, quality, and overall project performance

Act as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and key stakeholders

Monitor project costs and ensure accurate financial reporting throughout delivery

Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams across engineering, construction, and operations

Identify commercial opportunities and support the development of new business

Ensure projects are delivered in line with structured contract frameworks and governance models

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (HBO / WO level)

Minimum  8 years’ experience  in project management within energy or infrastructure

Experience managing  complex, long-term projects with structured contracts

Familiar with integrated project delivery models and contract frameworks such as  UAV-GC

Strong understanding of the  energy sector , including renewables, grid infrastructure, or related fields

Experience with  medium and/or high-voltage systems  is beneficial

Fluent in  Dutch , both written and spoken

Benefits

Salary:  €80,000 - €110,000 gross per month X 8% holiday allowance

Performance-based bonus scheme (up to 10%)
