Goodwill Industries of South Eastern Louisiana is looking for a skilled Production Manager to oversee daily donation and production operations at our store. The role includes managing a back‑room team, ensuring donations flow efficiently to the sales floor, and converting donations into revenue while maintaining safety, cleanliness, and organization.

• Supervise production employees to achieve daily production goals.
• Maintain and optimize back‑room workflow to maximize production.
• Process donations to maximize sales and minimize waste.
• Monitor waste output and ensure sellable merchandise is not discarded.
• Conduct quality checks on merchandise before placement on the sales floor.
• Perform textile rack checks to ensure accurate piece counts.
• Monitor back‑room supply levels and assist with ordering supplies.
• Conduct hourly floor checks to ensure processed merchandise is properly placed.
• Ensure all donations are processed expediently from donation door to sales floor.
• Maintain safe and appropriate conditions in shopping and back‑room areas.
• Prepare and post schedules to meet production goals.
• Ensure compliance with personnel and safety policies.
• Provide ongoing training to all production employees, documenting all training.
• Handle cash register operations for sales, returns, exchanges, and credits in emergencies.
• Ensure employees have necessary materials for production goals.
• Assist Store Manager in achieving/exceeding sales goals and implement contingency plans if needed.
• Assist with corrective coaching and training development.
• Create a working environment conducive to meeting all goals.
• Multitask and adapt to unforeseen opportunities impacting production goals.

• Interact cordially and productively with a variety of people.
• Market Goodwill and explain the mission to the public.
• Maintain effective working relationships with store personnel and motivate them to perform at their best.
• Read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
• Work a flexible schedule on short notice, including nights, weekends, and occasional long hours.
• Lifting and carrying objects up to 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Use repetitive hand movements for buttoning, sorting, hanging, and zipping garments.
• Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and stretch for prolonged periods.
• Maintain vision corrected to within normal limits.
• Function in a hectic work environment with occasional high‑stress periods.
• Knowledge of clothing brands and values, furniture, and household items.

High school diploma or GED; minimum 6 months of supervisory experience. Supervisory experience and/or training experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
