Emergency Medicine Physician

Genesis Health Care System in Zanesville, Ohio is seeking Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians for locum tenens coverage beginning December 2025. This is a busy, Level III trauma center with a 70,000 annual ED volume and a strong support team in place.

• Start Date: December 2025

• Duration: Ongoing (initial need through July 2026; likely to extend)

• Location: Main Campus Zanesville, OH

• Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours only (no admissions or rounding)

• Shifts:

  • 8:00 AM 6:00 PM

  • 2:00 PM 12:00 AM

• December Need: 8 12 shifts (starting December 2025)

• January July: 20 (8a 6p) + 20 (2p 12a) per month

• Weekend & holiday coverage may be needed

• Trauma Level: III

• Pediatric Level: II

• Beds in ED: 32

• Patients per shift:

• APPs: 4 (physician supervision required)

• EMR: Epic

• 24/7 Support Services: Anesthesia, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Radiology, and Laboratory

• No admissions, rounding, or procedures outside ED

• Privileges: Temporary privileges available

• Board Certification: Required (Emergency Medicine)- open to truly Board Eligible as well.

• Licensure: Active Ohio license or IMLC accepted- IPL can help with IMLC Licensure!

• Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS required- IPL can help with this if needed!
