As a Radiation Therapist, you will be responsible for administering radiation treatments to patients with cancer and other diseases. You will work closely with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for patients. • Administer radiation treatments to patients using linear accelerators or other radiation therapy equipment.
• Follow treatment plans developed by oncologists, ensuring accurate delivery of radiation to target areas.
• Monitor patients during treatment sessions to ensure their safety and comfort.
• Educate patients on the radiation therapy process and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
• Collaborate with oncologists, medical physicists, and other healthcare professionals to review and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations related to radiation therapy.
• Stay abreast of advancements in radiation therapy technology and techniques to improve patient outcomes.

• Bachelor's degree in radiation therapy or a related field.
• Certification in radiation therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensed or certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiation therapy.
• Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in radiation therapy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in patient care.
• Knowledge of radiation therapy equipment and safety procedures.
