Physical Therapy## Overview of Position:
Responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing structured treatment of patients as directed by a licensed Physical Therapist. Provides group and/or individual treatments to a variety of diagnostic categories and ages.
** ESSENTIAL DUTIES
** 1.
Reviews diagnostic data and its clinical relevance when treating patients and considers current presentation of past medical/clinical history. 2.
Provides treatment interventions based on a treatment plan and goals established for the patient. 3.
Monitors response/progress of assigned customers to treatment plan and discussed with PT plans needing adjustments as necessary to meet changing needs of the patient. 4.
Initiates patient care activities in reasonable/timely manner and strictly adheres to department guidelines regarding a patient’s treatment schedule. 5.
Ensures patient charges are accurately captured and submitted within 24 hours of treatment. 6.
Completes documentation that is accurate, complete, timely, legible, and consistent with department documentation policies and regulatory agencies. 7.
Completes program specialist competency/checklist of expectations, as appropriate to current position. (In-Patient and Work Hardening only). 8.
Completes annual competencies as appropriate to position including age specific competencies. 9.
Demonstrates willingness and competency to be cross-trained as appropriate to credentials, licensure, and scope of practice and department need. 10.
Assists with orientation of new staff and/or students. 11.
Performs other functions as assigned
** QUALIFICATIONS
* * 1.
Associate Degree or Certification of completion from an accredited Physical Therapy Assisting program. 2.
Completion of specialized training and successful passing of PTA Boards. 3.
Current Ohio PTA license. 4.
Attention to detail. 5.
Minimum of one clinical rotation in a Rehabilitation Services setting (e.g., Acute Rehab, SNF, Acute Medical, Outpatient, Home Health, and/or Behavioral Health). 6.
Valid drivers license and proof of auto liability insurance (Home Care).
