Genesis Oxygen & Sleep Therapy (GOST)## Overview of Position:

To provide respiratory care to customers in the retail and home setting for N.O.M.E. Will instruct and evaluate patients on equipment and provide feedback to physicians. Will be responsible for the training and evaluation of delivery technicians for respiratory equipment.

2) Responsible for maintaining accurate records in patient’s respiratory files to include doctor’s orders, test results, patient information, plan             of care.
3) Responsible for training and evaluation of delivery technicians for respiratory equipment.
4) Responsible for working with billing staff to provide information for CMN’s to facilitate appropriate and timely billing.
5) Is knowledgeable of the service area.
6) Assists in retail area of the store as needed.
7) Will serve as a back-up and resource person to on-call delivery technician
** QUALIFICATIONS
* * 1.
Graduate of an accredited respiratory program, either certified or registered, and hold a current Ohio license.  2.
Must have at least one year of experience in a clinical setting.
3.
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria appropriate to the age of the patients served.  4.
Must be able to perform the essential duties of a respiratory care professional.
5.
Ability to communicate effectively with the customer, physician and other employees.  6.
Ability to read, write and explain or describe moderately complex information to staff and patients.
7.
Attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize under pressure.  8.
Goal oriented with strong strategic and critical thinking skills: displays common sense and ability to make quick patient-based decisions.  9.
Thorough understanding of current standards that drive respiratory care and sleep medicine.  10.
Is knowledgeable of the delivery area of service area.
11.
Computer proficiencies to enter, assemble, organize and retrieve data, analyze, and integrate data from diverse sources.  Use of internet, e-mail and electronic calendar required.
