Hotel Housekeeping
A Housekeeper is primarily responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guest rooms, hallways, and public areas in the hotel. This role involves servicing guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures, stocking carts with room supplies, replacing bed linens, and replenishing guest room supplies while following company standards and safety/security procedures. In some instances, the Housekeeper may also be responsible for conducting ‘deep cleaning’ activities within the guest room in conjunction with preventative maintenance tasks.
ResponsibilitiesQualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with guests and team members.
- Ability to convey information clearly and evaluate multiple courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Ability to work well under stress and in high-pressure situations.
Responsibilities:
- Approach all guest and employee interactions in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards, with scheduling that varies according to hotel needs.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and name tag as per brand standards.
- Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Thoroughly clean and restock guest rooms per shift.
- Complete pre-cleaning duties, including preparing guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping carts.
- Remove trash and dirty linen from guest rooms.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or managers.
- Assist with disassembling furniture or items for deep cleaning, which may include changing AC filters, cleaning coils, touching up paint, or rehanging doors.
