Zanesville Production Team Member

Overview

AMG Vanadium (AMG V) is seeking Production Team Members to join our growing organization at our new Zanesville Plant. AMG Vanadium’s Production Team Members perform process support work essential to continuous operations of production related activities. Process Support Team Members operate mobile equipment, machinery, and hand tools, handle vanadium and non-vanadium raw materials and bulk supplies, and stage materials and process set-ups to support the efficient operational production.

Supports and maintains 6S and continuous improvement efforts throughout the entire plant.

• Comply with all AMG V policies and procedures, safety and environmental requirements, and AMG’s Code of Business Conduct
• Embrace and promote the AMG V culture in all day-to-day activities
• Operate mobile equipment, other machinery, and hand tools as required
• Perform general maintenance and preventative maintenance on equipment as required
• Receive, store, stage, and ship raw materials and end products
• Complete safety and environmental checks and documentation as required
• Participate in 6S and other continuous improvement activities
• Clean and maintain plant and facility grounds
• Demonstrate level of proficiency to work without close supervision and train new employees on process support functions
• Develop solid understanding of AMG V operational metrics that drive business results
• Performs other duties as assigned

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent lifetime experience
• Able to work 12 hour swing/rotating shifts (weekends included)
• Experienced in working in fast paced heavy manufacturing environment; steel/hot metal or foundry experience a strong plus
• Mobile equipment certification a plus
• Able to work in a physically demanding environment; frequent bending, stooping, and lifting of 50 pounds required
• Able to work in both hot and cold environments where the temperature can swing rapidly
• Mechanical aptitude required
• Team player; collaborative work approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Receptive and adaptable to change and actively involved in continuous learning and continuous improvement activities
• Strong work ethic and good attention to detail
