Family Practice## Overview of Position:

Administers skilled direct and indirect patient care to an assigned group of patients according to the patient’s plan of care under the direction of the physician. Provides clinical leadership to other LPN’s within the practice Adheres to universal precautions and is compliant with infection control policies. Carries out job requirements as delegated by and with the supervision of a physician (or registered nurse).
** ESSENTIAL DUTIES
** 1    Provides patient care, under the direction of the physician, in a warm and friendly manner.  2    Accurately takes and records measurements or readings.  3    Administers prescribed medications.  4    Works collaboratively with other caregivers in the office.  5    Oversees day-to-day work of clinical staff.  6    Provides leadership and supervision for clinical work performed by clinical staff.  7    Provides input for annual evaluations of clinical staff.
** QUALIFICATIONS
* * 1.
Current Ohio LPN license.  2.
Two years previous experience.  3.
Current CPR Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of orientation.  4.
Completion of an approved pharmacology course.  5.
Ability to communicate effectively in an oral and written manner, as well as the ability to observe, assess, guide, and evaluate others.  6.
Ability to collect data, interpret findings, set priorities and carry out established plan.  7.
Ability to read, calculate, and prepare medication, as well as the ability to observe and analyze any resulting reactions and to apply clinical knowledge.
