Position: Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job

Overview

Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Registered Nurse specializing in Med Surg, crafted for compassionate clinicians who thrive on complex patient care and collaborative teamwork. In this assignment, your clinical expertise will guide patients through recovery, manage acute conditions, and support families as they navigate change. You’ll lead with evidence-based practice, advocate for patient safety, and refine communication across disciplines.

By joining our Med Surg program in Zanesville, Ohio, you’ll contribute to a community hospital that values precision, empathy, and professional growth. Beyond the bedside, Ohio’s diverse landscapes—from river towns to rolling farmland and welcoming urban hubs—offer picturesque settings to unwind after shifts, explore local arts, and savor the state’s renowned hospitality.

Location & Travel Opportunities

Zanesville is a welcoming hub with a close-knit medical community, where you’ll collaborate with skilled professionals who share your commitment to high-quality patient care. This opportunity also provides the possibility to rotate to other locations across the United States, expanding your clinical perspectives and enriching your resume with a broad range of patient populations and hospital cultures. Whether you’re drawn to quicker pace urban centers or more intimate rural facilities, your Med Surg expertise will remain essential, and you’ll experience the advantages of a nationwide travel program designed to bring you variety, flexibility, and continual learning.

Responsibilities

As a Med Surg RN, you’ll own a broad spectrum of responsibilities that build your leadership, clinical judgment, and discharge planning skills. You’ll assess patient stability and evolving needs, administer medications and infusions, manage IV therapies, monitor post‑surgical and medical patients, and implement wound care and infection control best practices.

You’ll coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and social work to ensure smooth transitions from acute care to home or a higher level of support. Documentation, patient education, and family communication will be integral, as will participation in rounds and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

This role offers a clear pathway for professional growth: pursue specialty certifications, take on preceptor responsibilities for new grads, engage in unit‑based projects, and leverage our extension opportunities to deepen your experience across settings and patient populations.

Compensation & Benefits

Our compensation and benefits reflect the value you bring. Weekly pay ranges from $1,934 to $2,051, recognizing the skill and dedication you deliver each shift. The assignment includes guaranteed hours at 36 hours per week, with an emphasis on stable scheduling and predictable work‑life balance where possible.

In addition to competitive pay, you’ll have access to housing assistance to ease relocation logistics, a sign‑on or completion bonus where offered, and clear extension opportunities that allow you to continue growing in your specialty while remaining in a setting that suits your professional goals.

You’ll also benefit from comprehensive support designed for travelers: 24/7 assistance while you’re on assignment, a dedicated travel concierge to address housing, credentialing, and daily needs, and proactive onboarding to help you adjust quickly to new teams and routines.

Company Values

Our company values are centered on empowerment, with a steadfast commitment to your career advancement and a supportive, collegial work environment. We invest in your professional development through continuing education support, access to mentors, and opportunities to lead quality and safety initiatives.

You’ll find a culture where clinical excellence is paired with personal well‑being, where feedback is welcomed, and where collaboration across shifts and specialties is encouraged. The goal is to enable you to become a more confident, influential nurse who can impact patient outcomes now and in future roles.
