Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position requiring 3+ years of cardiac step-down experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of cardiac step-down experience required
• Experience with heart cath recovery, cardiac drips, and post-op open-heart patients required
• Open-Heart care experience required
• Epic EMR experience required

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting covering Open Heart Recovery, Step Down, and Telemetry Cardiac patients
• Night shift schedule working 7p-7:30a
• Typically works every 3rd weekend and covers 1 holiday, subject to change based on census and staffing
• No on-call required, though rare call days may be requested during fluctuating census/staffing
• May occasionally care for ventilated patients despite this not being a typical unit admission
• Floating to other units may be required during low volumes or coverage needs
• Uses Epic EMR
• Care for a cardiac/med-surg step-down patient population including post-op open-heart and heart cath recovery cases
• Comfort providing care to ventilated patients if needed is preferred
• Returning travelers within 9 months may be eligible for alternate start dates
