Base pay range

$19.00/hr - $35.00/hr

Position summary and description of duties for a General Facilities Maintenance Technician  role involves executing routine maintenance to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart stores, equipment, or fixtures, under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager. The work supports store operations and customer experience through proactive and responsive maintenance.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment) and hand/power tools to complete jobs.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders, support stores and associates, and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
• Can move up and down ladders frequently
• Comfortable working at heights frequently
• Able to sit or stand for long periods
• Able to work in various temperatures
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade

• Individual compensation packages are based on factors such as skill set, experience, and qualifications. The hourly wage range is $19.00 – $35.00, with additional compensation possible in specific circumstances.
• An additional bonus may be available and disclosed during the interview process.

Minimum Qualifications — Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications. Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade, or 5 years' experience in one of these trades. Valid Driver's License. Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
