The Emergency Unit has 18 beds and serves as a level 3 trauma center with both adult and pediatric patients. It is a primary stroke certified facility and a bariatric center of excellence.

Scope of WorkDelivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the state of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the nursing process – assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation and evaluation. Upholds ANA standards including ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health.

- Associate’s in Nursing required.
- Bachelor’s in Nursing accepted within 5 years.
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) required.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days.
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months.
