The Med Surg Unit is a 29‑bed unit with an attached 7‑bed ICU that cares for adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses, including bariatric, total joint, abdominal, podiatry, and more.

Scope of WorkDelivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation—and upholds standards of professional performance including ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, and research.

- Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years.
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days.
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required within 6 months.
