Materials Preparation I - Machined Core (2nd Shift)

Base pay range$23.29/hr - $23.29/hr
As a Materials Preparation I you will perform multiple operations such as sawing, hydraulic platen press operation, staging materials, core stabilizing operations, and assemblies.
Currently there is an opening for a Materials Preparation I in our Machined Core division on 2nd shift (Monday - Thursday 2:30PM to 12:30AM).
Starting at $23.29 per hour.
Key Responsibilities- Support essential duties and responsibilities with moderate to low supervision.
- Blank cutting of core materials with band saws or hand tools.
- Acclimation control of WIP core sheets.
- Assist clean and pack operations as needed.
- Clean product to be packaged.
- Load crates and package parts properly to be protected during shipment.
- Read, understand, and execute upon written work instruction for the manufacture of parts.
- Fill out all documentation completely and accurately.
- Completes necessary paperwork and enters data into the electronic data system.
- Proper installation of vacuum bags for the oven stabilizing of parts.
- Hot press, room temp and vacuum bag stabilizing.
- Properly stage and prepare materials needed for manufacture of parts (peel ply, tooltec, vacuum bag material, etc.).
- Operate ovens to correctly select the proper recipe for the required operation.
- Accurately inspect parts against the quality requirements.
- Interpret and follow a work schedule and advise if there are issues.
- Provide the customer with the best value including Cost, Quality, and Delivery.
- Handle internal and external questions in a prompt professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Performs all reasonably related duties as assigned.
- Ability to support all required quality audits for specific areas (ex. clean room checklist, clean core checklist, etc.).
- High school diploma or GED Preferred.
- Must be able to operate independently with reduced supervision.
- Must have strong math skills.
- Previous experience in industrial manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively communicate within an industrial setting.
- Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
