Position: Hilo Driver / Material Handler/ 1st Shift- Zeeland Mainsite

* An Operations Technician is part of our pay for skills program and allows individuals to continue to build skills providing opportunities to increase their compensation.
Skill blocks may include skills in Assembly, Machine Operation or Material Handling.
*** ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*** Individuals with Material Handling skills receive, store, and pull raw and finished goods through the facility in a safe, accurate and timely manner, along with the proper part tracking.
* Operate equipment (standup/ sit-down/ swing reach forklift, aerial lift) in a safe and timely manner.
* Must maintain a valid forklift license and follow MIOSHA standards as a professional Material Handler
* The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
* Required to learn additional functions through cross-training in other departments.
* Ability to communicate effectively
* Regular and predictable attendance based on scheduled hours.
* Rotates through the department work stations based on business need.
* Works overtime as needed.
* Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

** One of the following is required: (1) High school diploma or its equivalent (GED for example), (2) work experience which demonstrates performance competency

* Skills and Abilities

*** Competent in basic math skills such as counting, adding, and subtracting.
* Ability to work cooperatively within the team as well as with members of other teams to meet goals.
* Demonstrated willingness to adapt to a continually changing environment.
* Required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms for the duration of the shift.
* Ability to regularly lift and move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and move up to 25 lbs, and occasionally lift and move up to 40 lbs.
* Required to communicate and to be able to see with or without correction.
