Vaco Indianapolis has partnered with a client on the northwest side of Indianapolis in search of a Payroll Coordinator. This is a full time, direct hire position working in office (Mon-Fri 8:30-5). This is an entry level position; the ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and the desire to learn.

• Process bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll for 500+ employees across multiple states
• Ensure all payroll transactions are entered and processed accurately and on time
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws
• Coordinate with HR on employee changes (new hires, terminations)
• Manage wage adjustments, garnishments, child support, and other deductions
• Audit and verify timesheets, attendance records
• Maintain strict confidentiality and data security for all payroll records
• Respond to inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax with holdings
• Generate and analyze reports for management and audits (e.g. W-2s, payroll summaries)
• Assist with payroll-related projects, audits, and process improvement initiatives

Determining compensation for this role depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skills, experience and training, licensure and certifications, location, and business needs. The salary range is noted above. The role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and participation in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company 401(k) plan.
