We’re seeking a bold, strategic leader to step into the role of Director of Agency and Commissions — a pivotal position that shapes the backbone of our sales operations experience. It’s a chance to architect the future of licensing, appointments, and commission operations, while building scalable systems that fuel growth and elevate service across the enterprise. In this role you set strategic directions that align with enterprise goals, including design initiatives to streamline processes, enhance scalability, and deliver exceptional service to our financial professionals.

You are expected to inspire and guide front‑line leaders, fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence, as well as partner cross‑functionally with Operations, Technology, and Compliance.

How You’ll Contribute
  • Drive strategic vision in partnership with the sales operations leader where you’ll develop and implement capacity plans and staffing models
  • Identify and scope strategic initiatives that align with company goals and anticipate roadblocks and proactively partner across functions to remove them
  • Lead refinement of the Agency & Commission infrastructure by designing a roadmap of high‑impact initiatives that drive scalability
  • Build and optimize workflows to increase efficiency and leverage our strengths
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and prioritize projects
  • Partner with a TPA to ensure seamless operations and communications
  • Define and manage service metrics measuring performance and drive accountability
  • Deliver coaching and feedback to supervisory team
  • Analyze trends and share insights with senior leadership
  • Identify operational efficiencies and bring recommendations for improvement
  • Lead change management efforts and build trust to drive engagement
  • Develop training materials for new team members onboarding
  • Maintain budget including forecasting and staff modeling
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience in financial services specifically agency and commissions
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience managing operations and front‑line leaders in a hybrid/remote workforce is preferred
  • Prior professional experience in financial services/insurance/annuities is strongly preferred
  • Experience leading and motivating an operation team/function, and influencing others outside of direct reporting relationship
  • Proven success in creating and optimizing workflows to drive efficiency
  • Proven critical thinking and decision‑making skills in a dynamic work environment
  • Exceptional communication skills across all levels of the organization including senior leadership
  • Strong problem‑solving and negotiating skills with focus on continuous improvement
