Senior Financial Controller

Delta Capacity is a fast-growing European energy storage company focused on the development, financing, construction and operation of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

As we continue to scale our portfolio across Europe, we are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Controller to join our finance team in Zug, Switzerland.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will take ownership of financial accounting, consolidation, group reporting, audit, tax and VAT processes, cash-flow analysis and financial controls across Delta Capacity and its subsidiaries and project companies.

This is a hands‑on role with significant responsibility and direct exposure to senior management. You will help build the financial infrastructure, systems and controls required to support a rapidly growing European energy platform.

• Own monthly, quarterly and annual financial close and reporting across the Group.
• Manage the consolidation of multiple legal entities and project SPVs across different jurisdictions.
• Prepare high‑quality management and financial reporting and ensure consistent application of Group accounting policies.
• Ensure financial reporting is prepared in accordance with IFRS and applicable local accounting requirements.
• Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliations and consolidation eliminations.
• Coordinate Group and statutory audits and act as a key contact for external auditors.
• Coordinate corporate tax, VAT and other relevant tax reporting with external advisers and local accounting providers.
• Own short- and medium-term cash‑flow and liquidity forecasting, including analysis of funding requirements across corporate entities and project SPVs.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning and work with integrated financial models.
• Develop and strengthen financial controls, accounting processes, reporting systems and automation as the business scales.

• 7+ years of relevant professional experience in financial accounting, controllership, audit or a related finance role.
• Fully qualified accountant – ACCA, ACA, CA, CPA, Swiss Certified Accountant or equivalent.
• Strong technical accounting background and working knowledge of IFRS.
• Demonstrable experience with multi‑entity accounting and group consolidation.
• Experience managing or playing a significant role in external audits.
• Practical understanding of corporate tax and VAT, ideally including cross‑border transactions.
• Strong understanding of cash‑flow statements, liquidity forecasting and working‑capital analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting, ERP and/or consolidation systems.
• Familiarity with Swiss statutory accounting, Swiss GAAP FER and the Swiss tax environment would be advantageous.
• Fluent in English and German. Other European languages would be advantageous.

Experience in energy, renewable energy, infrastructure, utilities, project finance, asset management, private markets, real estate or another capital‑intensive, multi‑entity environment would be particularly relevant.

Candidates combining a strong audit background with subsequent experience in industry, infrastructure or investment‑related businesses are particularly relevant. Previous BESS experience is not required.

Energy storage is becoming a critical component of Europe’s energy infrastructure, supporting the integration of renewable generation and the transition to a more flexible electricity system.

At Delta Capacity, you will join a growing platform at an important stage of its development and work directly with the CFO and senior management.

The role combines the technical depth of a Senior Financial Controller position with exposure to international energy infrastructure projects, financing and investment. You will have significant

responsibility from day one and the opportunity to help shape Delta Capacity’s finance organisation as the business grows.
