Sales Planning Specialist – BYD & DENZA

The Sales Planning Specialist reports directly to the Sales Director. In this role, you will be fully supporting and contributing to the overall expansion strategy of BYD and DENZA in Switzerland and developing measures to drive sales performance in the local market. You will be working closely with the European Sales, Product and Marketing colleagues as well as with the team of our distributor partner.

• Lead short- and long-term sales volume and mix planning for the full BYD and DENZA vehicle portfolio.
• Provide market insights and competitor benchmarking within the area of responsibility, analyzing market trends, competitive activity, and historical performance to develop data-backed sales plans and scenarios.
• Collect, consolidate, and analyze forecast data from markets to improve decision-making and planning accuracy, predicting future demand and potential market gaps.
• Work closely with the Sales team to gather accurate demand data and ensure sales forecasts are integrated into planning activities to guarantee sufficient supply and meet demand.
• Coordinate with Product, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment between sales forecasts and business goals.
• Analyze incoming Purchase Orders (POs) and confirm expected delivery schedules with dealers; prepare and manage delivery plans based on sales data and market needs.
• Identify discrepancies between supply and demand, and resolve them by adjusting forecasts, orders, or delivery schedules as needed.
• Support pricing strategy, launch planning, and sales campaigns through volume forecasting insights.
• Prepare and periodically update, together with Sales, the Area of Responsibility (AoR) for each BYD and DENZA dealer.
• Support the Sales team in developing and monitoring dealer targets, and manage dealer performance.
• Lead cross-functional teams and manage operational budgets, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Leverage advanced Excel skills to conduct in-depth data analysis and generate actionable insights for the operations team. Provide data-driven recommendations to improve operational performance.
• Learn about our products and services (BYD and DENZA) and introduce improvement plans to our product and sales operations team.

• University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in operations or sales planning management, in the automotive industry, preferably in Switzerland.
• Customer-oriented mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
• Able to prioritize and work proactively with efficient time management skills.
• Resilient and open-minded, results-oriented with ability to work to deadlines with a proactive hands-on approach.
• Fluent in English and German (mandatory); other European languages and/or Mandarin Chinese are a plus.
