Location: Zug, Switzerland

PIPECARE Group is one of the world's leading in-line inspection companies, with over 20 years of experience providing technology-driven solutions to the oil and gas industry. We are currently looking for a Technical Sales Engineer Intern to join our team in Zug, Switzerland.

This internship offers an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands‑on experience in technical sales, proposal preparation, commercial operations, and customer relationship management within an international engineering environment.

We are only considering candidates who are currently based in Switzerland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing technical and commercial proposals for customer inquiries
  • Support the sales team in reviewing tender documents and project requirements
  • Help prepare cost estimates and maintain sales documentation
  • Update customer information and sales records in the company's CRM/EMS system
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Operations, Logistics, Finance, Commercial) during the bidding process
  • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and sales documentation
  • Monitor inquiry status and support timely submission of quotations
  • Participate in customer meetings and internal project discussions when required
  • Conduct market and competitor research to support business development activities
  • Help maintain strong relationships with customers through professional communication
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Sales Manager or Territory Business Development Manager
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related engineering discipline
  • Interest in technical sales, business development, or commercial engineering
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good analytical and problem‑solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment
  • Fluency in English is required;
    German or additional languages are considered an advantage
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic understanding of the oil and gas industry or industrial services
  • Familiarity with technical documentation or engineering drawings is an advantage
  • Exposure to CRM, ERP, or proposal management systems is a plus

Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Lifting and Carrying:
    Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Mobility:
    Must be able to walk and climb, maneuver within a refinery or plant environment, and access elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells
  • Communication:
    Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing to communicate effectively
  • Focus and Multitasking:
    Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively
  • Safety Equipment:
    Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments
  • Personal Mobility and Reflexes:
    Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off‑site locations when necessary
