Graduate Quant Developer (MSc/PhD gradutates)- Crypto HFT

I am working with a high-performance crypto market maker operating at the intersection of technology, mathematics and financial markets.

In this environment, complex data and mathematical challenges are solved every day, with code that runs 24/7 in a highly demanding, latency-sensitive setting. They are now looking for exceptional Quant Developers to join their growing team.

The Role

As a Junior Quant Developer, you will design and build the systems that power automated crypto trading strategies. You'll be working on highly optimised, production-grade code where performance, reliability and precision are critical.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing robust, efficient software and models for live trading systems
  • Handling complex datasets and designing scalable processes
  • Working closely with traders and senior technologists to implement ideas
  • Analysing problems, conducting research, and backtesting strategies
  • Continuously improving systems to meet the demands of real-time markets

This is a highly hands-on role, combining deep technical work with practical problem solving to deliver cutting-edge trading solutions.

Who They're Looking For

They are open to both:

  • Final-year or recently graduated Master's / PhD students
  • Early-career professionals with relevant internship or industry experience

You'll likely have:

  • A Master's or PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or a related field
  • Strong academic performance from a top university (Top 200 preferred)
  • Strong programming ability (e.g. Python, C++, Java or similar)
  • Experience in Linux/Unix environments (command line, SSH, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems
  • A structured, detail-oriented approach to coding
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • A proactive, adaptable and resilient attitude
