Group Support
- Lead end-to-end global, multi-region strategic sourcing projects across IT categories (including software, hardware, services, and licensing)
- Support the development and execution of IT category strategies aligned with business objectives
- Conduct market analysis, demand assessment, spend analysis and supplier evaluation to identify sourcing opportunities
- Deliver measurable cost savings, value creation, and service improvements
- Lead tender processes (RFx), supplier negotiations, and contract development for complex IT deals
- Provide commercial guidance to stakeholders throughout the sourcing lifecycle
- Ensure robust contractual structures, pricing models, and risk mitigation strategies
- Partner closely with IT leadership and key business stakeholders to understand requirements and align sourcing initiatives
- Act as a trusted commercial advisor on strategic procurement decisions
- Influence senior stakeholders to drive adoption of sourcing strategies and governance
- Advise stakeholders on best practice sourcing strategies, considering the complexity of requirements and timescales to deliver an agile procurement support approach
- Support IT stakeholders to deliver strategic supplier relationship management (SRM) where necessary, including performance tracking and governance frameworks
- Procurement Operations & Governance
- Leverage procurement technology and spend analytics to identify opportunities and inform decision-making
- Support procurement compliance, policy adherence, and P2P adoption (e.g., purchase orders, catalogues)
- Collaborate with operational procurement teams to ensure effective handoff of lower-value or transactional IT spend
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and the evolution of procurement best practices
- Support change management and adoption of category strategies
- Share knowledge and best practices to enhance overall team capability
- Significant experience in strategic IT sourcing and category management within a global environment
- Proven track record in leading complex sourcing projects and negotiating enterprise-level IT contracts
- Strong knowledge of IT procurement categories (e.g., software, SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, services)
- Expertise in strategic sourcing methodologies, RFx processes, and contract development, including working autonomously to lead competitive sourcing RFx projects and supporting contract drafting
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a matrixed, international organisation
- Ability to communicate with impact and influence senior stakeholders and Executive Leadership Teams (ELT)
- Strong commercial acumen, analytical capability, and financial modelling skills
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
- Experience with eProcurement systems (e.g., P2P platforms, eSourcing tools, catalogues)
- Strong proficiency in spend analytics and data-driven sourcing
- Advanced skills in Excel and data analysis tools
- Familiarity with tools such as Coupa and Power BI (preferred)
- Experience in savings calculations, forecasting and recording
- Experience with in a professional services, consulting, or infrastructure-led organisation
- Understanding of construction, infrastructure, or transport sectors
- Experience working across global, cross-cultural teams
- Experience in collaborating and coordinating with adjacent operational procurement teams to ensure less strategic/lowervalue/lower risk spend can be supported under separate ‘guided-buy’ channels, maintaining capacity in the strategic channel for the spend that matters most
- Knowledge of Coupa and Power
BI would be an advantage - Highly numerate with excellent analytical skills including advanced MS Excel skills
- Degree in commercial, economics, business, or engineering
- Nationally recognized professional certification (e.g., Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply or Certified Purchasing Manager or equivalent professional procurement and supply chain qualification)
