Die Position

The International Order Management department serves as a vital strategic pillar within our global operations, dedicated to driving end-to-end efficiency and operational excellence across our global supply chain network. By collaborating closely with local affiliates and global functions, such as Global Product Planning, Network Management, Hub Operations, Commercial Supply Chain, and Order Execution, the team standardizes and optimizes the workflows that connect manufacturing outputs to final customer delivery.

Every member of this global network shares a commitment to permanently optimizing processes to increase quality and efficiency standards, ensuring a resilient and compliant downstream logistics infrastructure.

We are seeking a Head of International Order Management to step into a global leadership role responsible for the strategic and operational steering of the department. This senior position oversees 10 to 25 employees across Switzerland, Germany, and the USA, balancing a workload split of 45% strategic process design and operational excellence, 30% global people leadership, and 25% project leadership and cross-functional steering.

Operating with significant independent authority to make both tactical and strategic decisions, you will navigate highly ambiguous supply chain disruptions, set long‑term policies, and develop a high‑performing international team across multiple seniority levels.

The Opportunity
  • Designing, standardizing, and automating global order management processes drives end‑to‑end solutions that systematically improve global supply chain efficiency.

  • Enforcing strict compliance with relevant global standards, legal frameworks, and regulatory requirements secures seamless execution across export, customs, and foreign trade activities.

  • Leading and motivating a cross‑cultural team across Switzerland, Germany, and the USA involves managing both International Order Managers and Senior International Order Managers while preparing to oversee multiple direct‑report People Leaders.

  • Initiating and leading global, cross‑functional project teams allows the department to act as a primary interface between internal stakeholders, innovation projects, and external partners like Logistics Service Providers.

  • Monitoring core Order Management KPIs and implementing continuous improvement measures ensures high process quality and the consistent achievement of organizational targets.

  • Navigating unpredictable supply chain disruptions and harmonizing complex regional workflows transforms unstructured, cross‑functional challenges into integrated, future‑ready solutions.

  • Managing competing interests requires regularly presenting to the Hub Operations Leadership Team, Regional Supply Chain Heads, and Affiliate Supply Chain Leaders to balance local operational needs with global harmonization mandates.

Who You Are
  • An academic foundation consisting of a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field is required, with a higher degree being preferred.

  • A minimum of 7 to 8 years of professional experience within an international logistics and supply chain management environment is essential, showing comprehensive expertise in end‑to‑end dynamics.

  • Sound knowledge of export and customs processes, foreign trade law, and technical proficiency in SAP ERP systems are necessary to establish strategic policies.

  • Proven project management experience is required, ideally complemented by the practical application of Six Sigma methodologies to drive process optimization.

  • Exceptional transformational leadership, interpersonal skills, and business‑level fluency…
