Mission

The Managing Director is responsible for defining and executing Bluesign’s strategic plan, driving operational excellence, and ensuring sustainable business growth and profitability. This role includes full P&L responsibility and leadership in shaping the company’s future in line with market trends and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accountable for delivering short-term and long-term financial targets.
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand Bluesign’s market presence and revenue streams.
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key customers (e.g., outdoor/sports apparel brands, chemical companies).
  • Accelerate digital transformation, enhance customer experience, and develop new technology-driven services.
  • Ensure efficiency, productivity, and high-quality execution across all processes and teams.
  • Align operations with SGS Group policies (Finance, Accounting, etc.).
  • Act as the face of Bluesign to stakeholders, partners, and the public.
Requirements

Education:

Master’s degree in Business Management.

Experience
  • Minimum 10 years in an international environment with proven P&L responsibility and business development expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of Textile and Chemical industries, particularly in sustainability.
Skills
  • Strategic thinker with strong leadership and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to engage C-level stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead transformation initiatives and drive cultural alignment.
  • Capable of making sound judgments in complex and ambiguous situations.
  • Skilled in building consensus and managing conflicting priorities.
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, and building high-performing teams.
  • Understanding of budgeting and cost optimization.
  • Ability to navigate uncertainty and maintain focus on long-term objectives.
  • Commitment to integrity, compliance, and organizational values.
