PurposeThe Transportation Commercial Quality Specialist will seek opportunities to continuously improve quality, cost, and time factors consistent with Deliver business objectives. The position understands current and emerging regulations and the impact on quality and distribution practices.
Responsibilities- Central point of contact for quality assurance processes, procedures, audits, and activities as it relates to Transportation globally. Develop and deliver training on QA‑related topics.
- Identify, direct, and implement potential cost savings and project execution improvements; support transportation change control documentation from initiation through implementation and closure.
- Provide detailed or summary communication to QA and cross‑functional management on status of key initiatives and issues.
- Document rationales which are technically accurate and regulatory compliance focused. Hold business partners accountable for delivering documentation of similar quality.
- Troubleshoot high‑risk/high‑complexity quality/compliance issues, using experience, resourcefulness, and creativity to provide solutions to a wide range of root causes.
- Design and implement quality and compliance improvement programs and initiatives. Innovate solutions to significant quality system gaps and lead continuous improvement projects.
- Foster working relationships with internal business partners to understand regional and sector requirements and business challenges.
- Independently represent Quality Assurance function on multiple, simultaneous, high‑impact/high‑value projects as the “Voice of Quality”, ensuring that quality and compliance inputs are integrated into project objectives.
- Independently lead and prioritize a highly complex and diverse workload, ensuring actions are on time, accurate, and meet their intended objective.
- Maintain awareness of key market trends and pricing as well as the development of new materials or products and recommend and/or counsel others on these changes.
- Provide specific technical expertise to support special projects, pilot operations, product/process improvements and contribute to forecast development to support business needs.
- GCSEs or GCEs, including English and Mathematics, or equivalent UK secondary education.
- Working knowledge of cGMP requirements and current regulatory issues.
- Ability to collaborate with internal/external partners to enhance relationships and interactions, including interacting with senior levels of management.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Excellent prioritization, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to accomplish work goals with minimal direction and oversight, with attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration abilities.
- Good collaboration skills and ability to work independently with internal partners.
