Our opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Food Safety & Quality EMEA, the Food Safety & Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety, quality and regulatory compliance of food, beverages and packaging supplied to Restaurant Brands International (RBI) brands across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The role partners with suppliers, distributors, master franchisees and cross-functional teams to ensure products consistently meet RBI standards, regulatory requirements and guest expectations while supporting profitable business growth. Acting as the technical lead for assigned product categories, the position drives supplier performance, product commercialization, regulatory compliance and food safety risk management across a complex international supply chain.

This is a full-time, indefinite contractor opportunity. The employment contract will be provided through the employment agency.

RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite 5 days per week.

Your role s & responsibilities
  • Lead Food Safety & Quality activities for assigned product categories across the EMEA region, ensuring supplier compliance, mitigating business risk and protecting RBI brands.
  • Own supplier performance by evaluating quality, food safety and regulatory compliance through audits, laboratory testing, complaint analysis and performance metrics, driving continuous improvement.
  • Support business growth by providing technical leadership during supplier approvals, product development, commercialization and market launches.
  • Provide Food Safety & Quality expertise to Product Innovation, Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations and Marketing teams, ensuring sound risk-based decision making.
  • Lead or support food safety, quality and regulatory investigations, including root cause analysis, crisis management and interactions with regulatory authorities.
  • Monitor emerging regulatory and scientific developments and translate new requirements into practical business solutions covering food safety, labelling, nutrition, food contact materials and animal welfare.
  • Represent the Food Safety & Quality function in regional and global initiatives, communicating supplier performance, technical risks and strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Travel throughout the EMEA region (approximately 25%) to suppliers, manufacturing facilities and franchisees.
Your skills & experience
  • At least bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology or a related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Food Safety & Quality, Supplier Quality or Food Manufacturing, preferably within QSR, food service or FMCG.
  • Experience managing supplier quality systems, product commercialization and international supply chains.
  • Familiarity with European Union and United Kingdom food legislation and regulatory frameworks is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) with strong analytical skills; experience with statistical analysis tools and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power Bi) is an advantage.
  • HACCP certification required. Lead Auditor or equivalent professional certification is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and quality management systems, HACCP, GMP, GFSI certification schemes, supplier quality management, laboratory testing, product specifications, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, food legislation and animal welfare principles.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Eligible to work in Switzerland without work permit sponsorship.
