Theteamin Switzerlandis focused on applying modern AI technologies to practical operational and business challenges — building intelligent workflows, internal AI tools, automation systems, and AI-powered applications that integrate across enterprise platforms and processes. You’llwork directly with business and engineering teams to turn operational problems into scalable AI solutions,rapidly prototype new ideas, and help deploy production-grade AI systems across the organisation. This is a highly hands‑on role focused on building real-world AI applications using frontier models, modern orchestration frameworks, and strong software engineering practices.

As part of AECOM’s AI team in Zug, you will build practical AI systems that automate and augment real operational workflows acrossourbusiness.

• Enterprise AI agents and internal copilots
• Workflow automations and orchestration systems
• AI-powered knowledge and retrieval systems
• AI-powered workflows integrated across enterprise platforms and internal systems

• Degree in Computer Science, Business, Entrepreneurship, or a related field/practical experience
• Strong software engineering skills, preferably in Python
• Experience building AI-powered applications, automation tools, or internal systems using modern LLM technologies
• Familiarity with frontier AI models and APIs such as OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or similar
• Experience working with APIs, backend systems, cloud platforms, and enterprise integrations
• Strong systems‑thinking, problem‑solving, and communication skills
• Ability to rapidly prototype, iterate, and deploy practical solutions in production environments
• Comfortable operating in fast‑moving environments with high ownership and autonomy

• Experience building AI-powered workflows, copilots, automation systems, or internal operational tools
• Familiarity with orchestration concepts such as workflow automation, retrieval systems, tool calling, or multi‑step AI workflows
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, containers, and modern deployment workflows, ideally within Azure
• Understanding of enterprise considerations such as governance, permissions, reliability, and human‑in‑the‑loop processes
• Startup, product engineering, or entrepreneurial experience with a strong builder mindset
