For our client, a major pharmaceutical company based in Rotkreuz. We are looking for a PLC Developer.

PLC developer with a strong electrical engineering background and experience with C# and Python. The candidate will have extensive experience with industrial controllers in structured text (ideally, B&R) and developing robust real-time automation solutions. Responsibilities include developing PLC code from the ground up, supporting integration tests on the instrument, and formal documentation of the control software. The role requires collaboration with hardware and high-level software teams and a good understanding of electrical schematics, cabinet layouts, and component datasheets.

Hands-on experience in electrical hardware design (cable drawing, wiring schemes, PCB design) is required. The candidate will design modular, structured PLC software, interface existing automation designs, support bringing up new instrument modules, and ensure seamless integration between software, electrical hardware, and mechanical subsystems. We are looking for a pragmatic problem-solver, an interdisciplinary team player, and someone who is passionate about creating complex, reliable automated systems.

• PLC design (structured text, B&R controllers)
• Technical documentation
• Cable design & wiring, PCB design, EMC testing
• Support integration testing and issue analyses in interdisciplinary teams

• Degree in a related field;
  Fachhochschule is a minimum requirement
• 3 years in hands-on PLC development; minimum 3 years in electrical design
• Good social skills to work in an interdisciplinary team
• PLC development tools, PCB schematics design tools
• Good English and fluent German skills

• Strong experience in electrical design
• B&R Automation Studio, EPLAN, Siemens Xpedition
• Experience in motor control applications and instrument workflows
