About the position
For our Operations Department in Zurich, we are seeking an organized, customer-focused, and proactive Junior Customer Service Associate to join our team. In this role, you will support day-to-day customer service and order processing activities to ensure smooth and positive customer experience. You will coordinate customer orders and shipments, assist with the preparation of export and customs documentation, and maintain accurate records in our systems.
Working closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams, you will help ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered on time. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in customer service, logistics, and supply chain operations within an international business environment. Tasks Customer Service & Order Management- Process customer orders and maintain accurate records
- Coordinate shipments and prepare export/customs documentation
- Support inventory tracking and stock administration
- Maintain customer master data
- Support collection and payment follow-up activities
- Coordinate order schedules with the Supply Chain team
- Support invoicing activities in collaboration with the Finance team
- Provide administrative support to the Sales team
- Assist with the setup of customer agreements and special deals
- Prepare reports and support operational monitoring
- Coordinate with customer finance teams regarding invoicing and payments
- Support Marketing with demo equipment orders and shipments
- Support the Service team with repair shipments and related administration
- Handle incoming calls and general customer inquiries
- Manage correspondence, documentation, and mailing activities
- Contribute to process improvements and efficient business operations
- Commercial education (KV) or equivalent qualification
- 0-2 years of experience in customer services, order management, or a related administrative role
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a structured manner
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
- Very good user knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of ABACUS is an advantage
- Practical knowledge of export documentation, Incoterms, and VAT regulations
- Professional fluency in German and English is essential
- Additional language skills (e.g., Spanish or French) are a plus
