Position: Design Manager

Salary & Package: 85,000- 95,000 CHF + EU Allowance- 35,000 CHF + Shared Acc + 2 flights return per month to home country

Mane Contract Services are currently recruiting for an experienced Design Manager to join a major construction and engineering project in Zurich, Switzerland
.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Design Manager with an electrical engineering background to take responsibility for the coordination and delivery of design across a complex, multidisciplinary construction project.

As Design Manager, you will be responsible for managing the design process from initial planning and procurement through to detailed design and delivery. You will coordinate internal engineering teams, external consultants and key project stakeholders to ensure design packages are delivered accurately, efficiently and on programme
.

• Developing and managing design delivery schedules
• Coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and consultants
• Managing scopes of work, deliverables and design contracts
• Supporting the procurement and appointment of design consultants
• Managing design workload, priorities and resources
• Reviewing design deliverables for accuracy and quality
• Tracking design milestones and implementing recovery strategies where required
• Supporting planning, programming and project reporting
• Attending design meetings and identifying opportunities to optimise design
• Liaising with clients, consultants, architects and other project stakeholders
• Leading and supervising experienced engineers and design professionals

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• 5–7+ years' experience in a Design Manager / Design Coordination role
• Experience with in data centres, pharmaceutical, semiconductor or large industrial projects
• Strong multidisciplinary design coordination experience
• Previous responsibility for design time, cost and fee management
• Proven experience managing engineering teams and direct reports
• Strong understanding of BIM environments
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Confident working with clients, consultants and project teams
