Location: Zürich
As Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor (CTKI), you are overseeing all Theoretical Knowledge Instructors (TKI) and standardizing theoretical training of EASA ATO within the Lufthansa Aviation Training (LAT) Group.
Tasks- Ensuring syllabi and examinations for theoretical knowledge training meet all applicable requirements
- Developing and coordinating new training concepts
- Conducting trainings and standardizations for performance evaluation of theoretical instructors, as well as ensuring fulfillment of all requirements
- Updating training materials according to current regulations and best practices
- Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal standards by instructors and students
- Harmonizing workflows and documentation in Operations Manuals (OM) and Training Manuals (TM) across locations
- Analyzing feedback, developing improvement proposals, and implementing measures to optimize training standards
- Professionally leading Theoretical Knowledge Instructors (TKI) in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland

We are looking for dynamic and competent personalities who want to help shape the demanding and varied challenges within EASA ATO.
- Valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) and several years’ experience as Theoretical Knowledge Instructor (TKI)
- Experience as Type Rating Instructor (TRI) or Synthetic Flight Instructor (SFI) advantageous
- Proven leadership experience combined with excellent communication skills and decisiveness
- In-depth knowledge of training organizations, internal regulations, and aviation-specific laws and regulations (especially EASA Part-FCL and Part-ORA)
- Strong ability to work in an interdisciplinary, intercultural, and goal-oriented manner, as well as good conflict resolution skills and resilience
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally to various LAT locations
Recruitment is via a local employment contract with LAT OPS DE, LAT AT or LAT CH.
