Role Description This part-time on-site role (approx 10%) in Zurich involves delivering high-quality German as a foreign language (DaF) lessons to individuals and small groups in classroom and in-company settings. The Deutschlehrer:in / DaF-Lehrperson prepares engaging lesson plans, selects appropriate teaching materials, and adapts content to learners' levels and goals. Day-to-day tasks include conducting interactive lessons, assessing learner progress, providing feedback, and maintaining lesson documentation.

The role also involves coordinating schedules with learners and the office, and contributing to a positive, professional learning environment.

Qualifications

• Strong German Teaching and DaF expertise, with the ability to teach German to non-native speakers at various levels.
• Teaching and Education skills, including lesson planning, classroom management, and learner-centered instruction.
• Experience with Tutoring and Training, providing individualized support and practical language practice.
• Relevant teaching qualification or certification in German as a foreign language (e.g., DaF/DaZ, pedagogical diploma) is highly beneficial.
• Excellent command of German (near-native or native level) and good communication skills in English or another company language.
• Previous experience teaching adults or corporate clients, ideally in an on-site or in-company setting.
• Ability to work independently, manage a part-time teaching schedule, and travel to different teaching locations in Zurich.
• Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and a professional, reliable work approach.
