Job Description
During the project, the successful candidates will be at the forefront of experimental research, both independently and as members of our research teams. You will be part of an international team working on quantum devices both at ETH Zürich and EPFL.
Each position is initially limited to a term of eighteen months, with potential for extension. All three new team members will contribute to regular team meetings to report on project progress.
Responsibilities- Design and simulation of packaging for parametric amplifiers to minimize mismatches, thermal gradients and to ensure optimal magnetic field shielding.
- Exploration of novel packaging solutions for future iterations of the device.
We are seeking candidates with a strong interest in quantum technology based on superconducting quantum circuits. Proficiency in English, in reading, writing and discussing scientific material, is essential, along with strong teamwork and excellent communication skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software and design tools.
- Proficiency in Printed Circuit Board design tools.
- Organizational skills.
- Initiative and creativity in developing innovative packaging methods.
